Nasdaq offers cost-effective, fast, flexible, reliable connectivity to Nasdaq Canada.
Trading Eligibility
Nasdaq Canada Members must meet the membership criteria set out in Nasdaq Canada’s Trading Rules and Policies. They must be members of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) in good standing with the ability to clear trades on a continuous net settlement (CNS) basis with the Canadian Depository for Securities (CDS).
Market Data
Real-time market data from each of Nasdaq Canada’s trading books is available as either a direct feed or via third-party data vendors. Nasdaq Canada utilizes, a proprietary data-feed protocol specifically designed for the high-speed dissemination of real-time market data.
Order Entry
Nasdaq Canada utilizes FIX for subscriber order-entry into the matching engine. This is an industry standard communication protocol designed for securities order-entry via any FIX-enabled third-party or proprietary front end or order management system.
