    Nasdaq Helsinki Through the Years

    • 1912 – The first trading took took place on 7 October 1912 at the new stock exchange building at Fabianinkatu 14, Helsinki
    • 1935 – The electromechanical trading board was introduced
    • 1997 – HEX was established when Helsinki Stock Exchange Plc and the Finnish derivatives exchange merged
    • 1999 – HEX and Suomen Arvopaperikeskus (The Finnish Central Securities Depositary) merged into HEX Group
    • 2001 – HEX bought a majority share in Estonia’s TSE Group (Tallinn Stock Exchange)
    • 2002 – HEX acquired the Riga Stock Exchange
    • 2003 – OM and HEX merged
    • 2008 – Nasdaq and OMX AB complete their merger, forming Nasdaq OMX
    • 2010 – The INET trading system was adopted by al seven stock exchanges of Nasdaq OMX Nordic
    • 2014 – Nasdaq OMX Nordic was renamed to Nasdaq Nordic
