About This Event
RestoringVision, a global nonprofit dedicated to creating equitable access to vision services and eyeglasses for people living on less than $2 a day worldwide and leading the charge to solve the global vision crisis, visits the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, RestoringVision's programs have transformed 28 million lives with clear vision since 2003, empowering people living in extreme poverty to return to work, experience sustained livelihoods, advance education and alleviate poverty. Solving the global vision crisis would alleviate an annual global economic loss of over $400 billion. RestoringVision's work lies at the intersection of global health, education and economic development as over 800 million people across the globe only need reading glasses to see clearly again, but cannot afford or access them. Their vision is RestoringVision's mission and the solution is a 700-year-old invention: eyeglasses.
In honor of the occasion of RestoringVision's 20th anniversary and the global prioritization of addressing presbyopia at scale, RestoringVision's Chief Executive Officer Pelin Munis, Ph.D., rings the Closing Bell along with RestoringVision's Founder Mark Sachs and RestoringVision's Board Chair, Optical Marketing Executive Kevin Hassey.
