Salvatore Bruno, CETF®, is an investment strategist with over 17 years of experience in index creation, ETF management, and investor education. He has played a key role in developing and managing passive index-based ETFs with 2 funds reaching over $1B in assets under management. His expertise includes statistical modeling, quantitative research and investment strategy development. He has contributed to financial industry discussions through media appearances on platforms such as Nasdaq Trade Talks, CNBC ETF Edge and the Wall Street Journal. He has also co-authored numerous papers on currency hedging, real-return portfolios and alternative investments.

Sal has held leadership positions at Nasdaq, New York Life Investments and IndexIQ where he created and managed rules-based index methodologies and investment strategies supporting $4.5 billion in assets. He has also worked as a portfolio manager at Deutsche Asset Management, overseeing mutual funds totaling $6.5B in assets. In addition to his industry experience, he has taught portfolio management as an adjunct instructor at Hofstra University and Fordham University. He holds an MBA in Finance & Economics from NYU Stern and a BS in Applied Economics & Business Management from Cornell University.
