Charlotte Laurent-Ottomane is a senior executive with experience in enhancing boardroom diversity and best-practice corporate governance. Her expertise is built on a hands-on knowledge of financial markets and the ability to create productive and long-lasting industry relationships.

With a vision to build a strong coalition of corporate leaders and institutional investors to address the lack of gender diversity in the corporate boardroom, Charlotte co-founded the Thirty Percent Coalition in 2011.

This national organization calls on companies to diversify their boards to benefit from enhanced financial performance, a position that is supported by recognized research. Under her stewardship as Executive Director, the Coalition has achieved international recognition as a unique and collaborative movement with identifiable results. Today, the Thirty Percent Coalition’s membership represents over $6 trillion in assets under management from powerful institutional investors, top tier private equity firms, and high-profile public companies.

Charlotte’s leadership has drawn on years of stakeholder relationships and strategy execution for a Fortune 500 company. Based in France, she led Investor Relations and Capital Market strategies for Alcatel, which became Alcatel Lucent at the end of 2006. Since 2007, Charlotte has advised public and private companies on capital raising, investor relations, diversity initiatives, and disclosure practices. In this role, she has conducted numerous board assessments across industries (financial services, tech, and industrials) to develop actionable strategies to enhance diversity and performance.

A resident of South Florida, Charlotte holds a BA degree from Georgia State University and an MBA from École des Ponts Business School.
