NIQ Global Intelligence (NYSE: NIQ) stock is roaring higher in Tuesday's trading following the company's second-quarter report. Its share price was up 37% as of noon ET.

NIQ published its Q2 results after the market closed yesterday, and sales and earnings for the period exceeded the average Wall Street forecasts. Despite the big valuation surge, the marketing-research services specialist's share price is still down roughly 4% across 2026's trading.

NIQ's second-quarter report has shifted the narrative on the stock

NIQ, which was formerly known as "NielsenIQ," reported non-GAAP (adjusted) earnings per share of $0.27 on sales of $1.12 billion in Q2. Adjusted earnings per share beat the average analyst target by $0.07, and sales topped expectations by $10 million. Total revenue was up 8% year over year in the period, with organic constant currency (OCC) revenue up 5.8% due to strong performance from the businesses' Americas geographic segment. The company's adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) margin increased 270 basis points to 23.3% in the quarter, and adjusted EBITDA was up 21.9% to $261.9 million in the quarter.

What's next for NIQ?

With its Q2 report, NIQ increased its full-year performance outlook along key metrics. The company now anticipates overall sales growth to be between 7.1% and 7.4%, OCC revenue growth between 5.2% and 5.6%, and an adjusted EBITDA margin between 23.5% and 23.9%. Previously, the company had targeted sales growth between 6.4% and 6.7%, OCC sales growth between 5% and 5.3%, and an adjusted EBITDA margin between 23.5% and 23.8%.

Adjusted earnings per share are now projected to be between $1.08 and $1.12 -- up from previous guidance for per-share earnings between $0.95 and $0.99.Along with the upward guidance revisions, management said it expects the company to have its net-debt-to-EBITDA ratio below 3 by the end of the year.

With the company posting stronger-than-anticipated sales growth, improving its margins, and making significant progress in reducing its debt, its performance outlook has become much stronger on the heels of its Q2 report.
