Wheat Slipping back to Mixed Action on Thursday

The wheat complex is showing mixed action across the three exchanges on Thursday. Chicago SRW contracts are steady to a penny higher at midday. KC HRW futures are slipping back 2 to 3 cents on the session. MPLS spring wheat is up 5 to 6 cents so far on the day.

The weekly USDA Export Sales report showed a total of 393,655 MT of 2026/27 wheat sales in the week ending on August 13, on the higher side of the estimates looking for a range of 200,000 to 450,000 MT. That was the third highest for the marketing year but still 24.26% below the same week last year.

Monthly International Grains Council data showed production down 4 MMT to 817 MMT, with use slipping down 2 MMT to 826 MMT. Stocks for 2026/27 were trimmed by 4 MMT to 275 MMT.

Sep 26 CBOT Wheat  is at $6.80 1/4, unch,

Dec 26 CBOT Wheat  is at $6.98 1/2, up 1 cent,

Sep 26 KCBT Wheat  is at $7.59 1/4, down 2 3/4 cents,

Dec 26 KCBT Wheat  is at $7.74, down 2 3/4 cents,

Sep 26 MIAX Wheat  is at $7.00, up 6 cents,

Dec 26 MIAX Wheat  is at $7.25 3/4, up 5 1/2 cents,
