(RTTNews) - Welltower Inc. (WELL) is down 5.69 percent, losing $13.69 to $226.92 on Tuesday. The decline possibly follows the company's third-quarter results announced yesterday, with net income falling to $280.56 million, or $0.41 per share, from $396.59 million, or $0.54 per share, a year earlier.

Welltower is currently trading at $226.92, down from the previous close of $240.61 after opening at $233.28 on the New York Stock Exchange. The stock has traded between $224.86 and $237.93 during the session. Trading volume stands at 1.81 million shares, compared with an average volume of 2.74 million shares.

Third-quarter revenue declined 27.7 percent, to $2.69 billion from $3.72 billion a year earlier. Welltower provided full-year earnings guidance of $3.31 to $3.37 per share. The company's shares have traded between $174.91 and $255.20 over the past 52 weeks.
