Vector Science Invests In Gary Payton's Scoreboard To Develop Peptide Products For Athletes

(RTTNews) - Vector Science and Therapeutics Corp. (PAIN.V), a medical technology company developing drug delivery technology and pharma-grade peptide manufacturing, has entered into a strategic relationship with Scoreboard Inc., a performance wellness company co-founded by NBA Hall of Famer Gary Payton.

Vector has made an investment in Scoreboard through a Simple Agreement for Future Equity (SAFE).

The companies plan to develop peptide-based products targeting athletic performance, recovery and longevity, using peptides formulated and manufactured by Vector.

Vector said its proprietary delivery and formulation technology will support the collaboration. Its intellectual property portfolio includes 15 pending patent applications covering multi-route peptide and biologic delivery, lyophilized peptide formulations and advanced transdermal delivery.

The companies aim to develop peptide products in liquid and gel formats that can retain potency and remain shelf-stable.

Vector said the collaboration combines its peptide manufacturing and delivery expertise with Scoreboard's performance and wellness brand.

Scoreboard's Co-founder mentioned that it is developing products for everyday athletes, high performers and weekend warriors, with a focus on performance, recovery and longevity.

Vector shares have traded between C$0.35 and C$2.65 over the last year.

On Wednesday, shares closed at C$1.77, up 1.14% on the TSX Venture Exchange.
