Trinity Issues Updates On Diagnostics Launch; Plans To Regain Nasdaq Compliance By Feb '27

(RTTNews) - Trinity Biotech plc (TRIB), a commercial-stage biotechnology company, on Monday provided several updates regarding its diagnostics business, pipeline, and current standing with respect to Nasdaq Listing Rules.

The Irish company is focused on developing, manufacturing, and marketing various diagnostic tools, including wearable biosensors and solutions for diabetes management.

Business Updates:

Trinity completed the commercial rollout of the HbA1c column system for its Premier Hb210 analyzer, that previously received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The high-capacity column system was indicated to provide up to four times the testing rates as existing systems for the diagnosis of diabetes, minimizing instrument downtime and calibration requirements.

The company reportedly received positive feedback from three major international markets where the device was launched and expects high purchase volumes as rollout is initiated in other markets.

Additionally, the manufacture of over 9 million TrinScreen HIV tests was completed, and the production of UniGold HIV tests to fulfil a large purchase order has been commenced.

Pipeline Advancements:

The company gained a European patent covering its PrePsia test to determine the risk of pre-term preeclampsia, one of the leading causes worldwide of maternal and foetal morbidity.

This brings the total number of patents covering PrePsia in the U.S. and Europe to nine, as the company plans to launch the test via its reference laboratory certified by the New York State Department of Health.

Nasdaq Listing:

Following the receipt of a deficiency letter from the Listing Qualifications Department of The Nasdaq Stock Market LLC in February 2026, the company failed to regain a minimum market value of publicly held shares (MVPHS) of $15 million by the stipulated period of August 18, 2026.

Accordingly, the company was recently issued a Determination Letter and intends to request a meeting with a Hearings Panel, which may grant an additional extension till February 24, 2027, to regain compliance.

Trinity believes that the success of its current operations will allow the company to reach the MVPHS of $15 million or more.

TRIB is currently trading at $9.51, down 1.76%.
