Trinity Biotech's Trinovium Partners With Echelon To Develop AI Data Center Cooling Solutions

(RTTNews) - Trinity Biotech plc (TRIB), through its Trinovium subsidiary, announced a strategic collaboration with Echelon Data Centres to develop next-generation liquid cooling solutions for AI and high-density computing infrastructure.

Strategic Collaboration Trinovium and Echelon will combine Trinovium's expertise in ultra-high-purity fluid manufacturing and analytical technologies with Echelon's hyperscale data center infrastructure expertise.

The collaboration will focus on developing and refining advanced liquid cooling technologies, including direct-to-chip cooling fluids, thermal management systems and modular liquid cooling solutions optimized for AI and high-performance computing deployments.

Echelon currently has more than 700 MW of data center capacity under development, over 1.4 GW of secured capacity and more than 4 million square meters of data center space across multiple development regions.

Liquid Cooling Opportunity

Trinovium is targeting the growing data center liquid cooling market, which is projected to expand from approximately $4 billion in 2026 to $27 billion by 2033, driven by rising AI workloads and increasing data center power densities.

As computing environments become more power-intensive, coolant purity, stability and monitoring are becoming increasingly important to data center reliability and uptime.

Trinovium has developed an initial direct-to-chip liquid cooling formulation based on ultra-high-purity aqueous chemistry, corrosion inhibition and healthcare-level consistency and traceability, aligned with relevant Open Compute Project guidelines.

Fluid Intelligence Platform

Alongside its cooling fluid technology, Trinovium is developing a fluid health and system intelligence platform leveraging Trinity Biotech's analytical capabilities, including connected electrochemical sensing and mass spectrometry.

The platform is designed to monitor corrosion and scaling, particulate contamination, microbial growth and biofilm formation, potentially creating a recurring revenue opportunity through data-driven cooling system monitoring and performance optimization.

Financial & Corporate Update

Earlier this month, Trinity Biotech secured an additional $7.0 million investment from Perceptive Advisors, comprising approximately $2.5 million of new debt funding and $4.5 million of capitalized interest under amended financing arrangements.

Trinity Biotech regained compliance with Nasdaq's minimum bid price requirement after its ADSs maintained a closing bid price of $1.00 or higher for 10 consecutive business days from July 24 through August 6, 2026.

Preliminary revenue for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 was approximately $10.5 million, broadly consistent with the first quarter of 2026.

The additional funding is expected to support Trinity Biotech's strategic initiatives, including its CGM+ continuous glucose monitoring platform, diagnostics and metabolic health businesses, and Trinovium's AI data center liquid cooling operations.

TRIB has traded between $7.94 and $59.10 over the past year. Currently, TRIB is trading at $11.75, up 0.64%.
