Thursday's ETF Movers: XAR, IYT
In trading on Thursday, the SPDR S&P Aerospace & Defense ETF is outperforming other ETFs, up about 3.2% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Carpenter Technology, up about 21.5% and shares of Hexcel, up about 15.7% on the day.
And underperforming other ETFs today is the iShares U.S. Transportation ETF, off about 1.2% in Thursday afternoon trading. Among components of that ETF with the weakest showing on Thursday were shares of Ryder System, lower by about 9.3%, and shares of Southwest Airlines, lower by about 7.4% on the day.
