In trading on Thursday, construction materials & machinery shares were relative laggards, down on the day by about 1.6%. Helping drag down the group were shares of JELD-WEN Holding, off about 5.6% and shares of Knife River down about 3.1% on the day.

Also lagging the market Thursday are packaging & containers shares, down on the day by about 1.5% as a group, led down by Smurfit Westrock, trading lower by about 2.7% and International Paper, trading lower by about 2.7%.
