SPHQ, IDHQ: Big ETF Outflows

Looking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the PowerShares S&P 500 Quality Portfolio ( SPHQ ), where 15,200,000 units were destroyed, or a 31.5% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of SPHQ, in morning trading today Home Depot ( HD ) is up about 0.8%, and McDonald's Corporation ( MCD ) is up by about 0.8%.

And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the PowerShares S&P International Developed Quality Portfolio ( IDHQ ), which lost 500,000 of its units, representing a 33.3% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of IDHQ, in morning trading today Nuveen Mortgage Opportunity Term ( JMT ) is up about 0.1%, and Carnival Corporation (CCL) is up by about 0.7%.
