In early trading on Friday, shares of Freeport-McMoran Copper & Gold topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 2.4%. Year to date, Freeport-McMoran Copper & Gold registers a 39.5% gain.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is Texas Pacific Land, trading down 2.5%. Texas Pacific Land is lower by about 21.7% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Moderna, trading down 2.4%, and Target, trading up 2.0% on the day.
