In early trading on Thursday, shares of First Solar topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 9.0%. Year to date, First Solar registers a 5.5% gain.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is Ralliant, trading down 2.7%. Ralliant is lower by about 6.3% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are SBA Communications, trading down 2.5%, and Enphase Energy, trading up 5.6% on the day.
