In early trading on Friday, shares of Vistra topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 13.5%. Year to date, Vistra registers a 5.9% gain.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is Qualcomm, trading down 2.6%. Qualcomm is showing a gain of 3.6% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Valero Energy, trading down 2.6%, and Builders FirstSource, trading up 6.2% on the day.
