In early trading on Wednesday, shares of Western Digital topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 9.3%. Year to date, Western Digital registers a 71.6% gain.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is Nike, trading down 13.3%. Nike is lower by about 28.1% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Aptiv, trading down 11.8%, and Lumentum Holdings, trading up 7.3% on the day.
