S&P 500 Movers: NEM, NKE
In early trading on Friday, shares of Nike topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 15.7%. Year to date, Nike has lost about 4.4% of its value.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is Newmont, trading down 3.9%. Newmont is showing a gain of 52.9% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Palantir Technologies, trading down 2.7%, and Estee Lauder, trading up 5.0% on the day.
