In early trading on Thursday, shares of Intuit topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 3.7%. Year to date, Intuit has lost about 30.1% of its value.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is Newmont, trading down 8.3%. Newmont is lower by about 2.2% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Freeport-McMoran Copper & Gold, trading down 7.5%, and Align Technology, trading up 3.1% on the day.
