In early trading on Tuesday, shares of Intel topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 8.3%. Year to date, Intel registers a 27.8% gain.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is Medtronic, trading down 4.7%. Medtronic is showing a gain of 10.7% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Palantir Technologies, trading down 4.0%, and Palo Alto Networks, trading up 6.5% on the day.
