In early trading on Wednesday, shares of Meta Platforms topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 8.1%. Year to date, Meta Platforms has lost about 7.7% of its value.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is Corning, trading down 10.6%. Corning is showing a gain of 160.9% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are KLAC, trading down 8.2%, and FactSet Research Systems, trading up 7.6% on the day.
