In early trading on Monday, shares of Corning topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 5.4%. Year to date, Corning registers a 81.0% gain.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is AES, trading down 17.4%. AES is lower by about 0.4% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, trading down 11.2%, and CF Industries Holdings, trading up 5.1% on the day.
