In early trading on Friday, shares of Kroger topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 6.6%. Year to date, Kroger registers a 14.2% gain.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is Accenture, trading down 7.1%. Accenture is lower by about 19.1% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Albemarle, trading down 3.2%, and Advanced Micro Devices, trading up 3.9% on the day.
