In early trading on Thursday, shares of Arista Networks topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 13.4%. Year to date, Arista Networks registers a 10.2% gain.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is Abbott Laboratories, trading down 9.2%. Abbott Laboratories is lower by about 12.5% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are GE Aerospace, trading down 5.3%, and Northern Trust, trading up 5.8% on the day.
