Sera Appoints Scott Gleason As CFO, Focuses On PreTRM Test Expansion

(RTTNews) - Sera Prognostics, Inc. (SERA), a company focused on improving maternal and neonatal health through pregnancy biomarker information, announced on Wednesday the appointment of Scott Gleason as Chief Financial Officer, effective August 31, 2026.

Gleason brings more than 25 years of experience in healthcare, diagnostics and capital markets. Prior to joining the company, he served as Vice President of Investor Relations and Treasury at Neogen Corporation and previously held CFO roles at LarmorBio and NX Prenatal. He also served as interim CFO of OraSure Technologies and previously led corporate strategy and investor relations at Myriad Genetics.

Gleason succeeds Austin Aerts, who has served as CFO since June 2023. Aerts will transition to an advisory role focused on strategic initiatives and ensuring continuity. During his tenure at Sera, Aerts held several finance leadership positions and helped guide the company through its initial public offering process and transition into the public markets.

Sera's Chief Executive Officer, Zhenya Lindgardt said, Gleason's financial leadership, capital markets expertise and strategic experience will support the company's commercial development and efforts to expand access to its PreTRM Test. PreTRM Test is a blood-based biomarker test that assesses the risk of spontaneous preterm birth in asymptomatic singleton pregnancies. The test is designed to help physicians make personalised clinical decisions based on an individual's risk during weeks 18-20 of pregnancy.

SERA closed Wednesday at $1.99, up 3.11%. In the after-hours trade, stock is up 1.01% at $2.01.
