Sarytogan Graphite Limited has announced a breakthrough with their Ultra High Purity Graphite (UHPG) significantly enhancing the performance of anodes in lead acid batteries, a market dominated by the most widely used rechargeable batteries globally. Capitalizing on a unique production method, Sarytogan’s inverted flowsheet, the company has created a high-demand by-product that fits into multiple advanced industrial applications and commands premium pricing. With graphite for such applications fetching between US$12,000 and US$20,000, the company remains on track to complete its Pre-Feasibility Study by September 2024.
