Replimune Posts Narrower Loss In Q2

(RTTNews) - Replimune Group, Inc. (REPL) on Wednesday reported a narrower loss in the second quarter due to a decline in operating expenses. The company also provided several clinical and business updates.

Company Profile

Replimune is a clinical-stage biotechnology company, focused on development and commercialization of oncolytic immunotherapies designed to annihilate cancer cells and stimulate an anti-tumor immune response. Its TUDRIQEV therapy became commercially available in the U.S. in early October. Second Quarter FY27 Financial Highlights

For the quarter ended September 30, 2026, net loss narrowed to $57.12 million, or $0.54 per share, from $83.10 million, or $0.90 per share, a year earlier.

Research and development expenses declined to $34.36 million from $57.90 million, primarily reflecting lower personnel and other costs and reduced spending on the IGNYTE, ARTACUS and CERPASS studies.

Selling, general and administrative expenses also decreased to $21.92 million from $26.41 million.

However, interest expense on debt obligations increased to $2.52 million from $1.49 million, partly offsetting the benefit of lower operating expenses.

As of September 30, 2026, cash and cash equivalents totaled $307.83 million.

The cash balance increased from March 31, reflecting approximately $141 million in net offering proceeds received in August and $15 million in additional borrowings in September, partly offset by operating spending.

The company expects its existing cash flow to fund operations for more than 12 months from issuance of its financial statements.

Clinical Update

TUDRIQEV was first delivered to patients on October 6, and more than 15 institutions have prescribed it. The therapy is approved with nivolumab for adults with unresectable advanced cutaneous melanoma that progressed following a PD-1-blocking antibody-based regimen.

The company has engaged more than 70% of its initial 200 priority accounts. TUDRIQEV also received a category 2A recommendation in National Comprehensive Cancer Network guidelines.

The confirmatory Phase 3 IGNYTE-3 trial continues enrolling patients, with overall survival as its primary endpoint.

The registration-directed Phase 2/3 REVEAL trial of RP2 in metastatic uveal melanoma is also enrolling. It compares RP2 plus nivolumab with ipilimumab plus nivolumab, with overall survival and progression-free survival as primary endpoints.

Stock Quote

REPL closed Tuesday at $13.05, up 4.65%.

In pre-market trading, shares are down 0.38% at $13.
