Q32 Bio Appoints New CMO And CDO To Support Advancement Of Bempikibart

(RTTNews) - Q32 Bio Inc. (QTTB) announced the appointment of José Trevejo, M.D., Ph.D., as Chief Medical Officer and Ellie Hershberger, Pharm.D., as Chief Development Officer, strengthening the company's leadership as it prepares to advance its lead program, Bempikibart, into late-stage development for alopecia areata.

Dr. Trevejo is a physician-scientist with more than 20 years of experience in dermatology, clinical pipeline strategy, and late-stage development, while Dr.Hershberger brings over 30 years of expertise in drug development operations and regulatory strategy.

CEO Jodie Morrison stated that the appointments come at a "pivotal moment" as Q32 Bio transitions into a late-clinical-stage company and prepares Bempikibart for a registration-directed program in severe or very severe alopecia areata, with additional expansion opportunities under evaluation across autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.

Dr. Trevejo highlighted encouraging results from Part B of the SIGNAL-AA program, noting meaningful hair regrowth, early signs of durability during the off-drug period, and a generally well-tolerated safety profile. He emphasized Bempikibart's potential to address limitations of currently available therapies for alopecia areata.

Dr. Hershberger added that she looks forward to advancing Bempikibart into this registration-directed program in the first half of 2027, while supporting development expansion into additional populations and indications.

QTTB has traded between $1.69 and $23.57 over the past year. The stock is currently trading at $11.14, up 0.39%.
