Polyrizon Finalizes U.S. Clinical Sites For NASARIX Allergy Study

(RTTNews) - Polyrizon Ltd. (PLRZ), a development-stage biotechnology company focused on intranasal hydrogel technologies, announced that it has completed contracting with all five U.S. clinical sites for its NASARIX Allergy Blocker (PL-14) clinical study.

The company said completion of the site agreements marks an important operational milestone as it prepares to begin patient enrollment for the first-in-human study.

The multicenter, randomized, single-blind, two-arm study is designed to enroll up to 120 patients with seasonal allergic rhinitis.

Participants will be randomized 1:1 to receive either NASARIX Allergy Blocker or an isotonic saline nasal spray control.

The primary efficacy endpoint will measure the difference in average daily reflective Total Nasal Symptom Score (rTNSS) between the NASARIX and control groups over the first 14 days of treatment.

Secondary measures will include instantaneous nasal symptom scores, quality-of-life assessments, symptom-free days and use of permitted relief medication.

Following completion of site contracting, Polyrizon is moving toward patient pre-screening and enrollment preparations.

The study is designed to evaluate seasonal allergic rhinitis under real-world allergen exposure, enrollment will be timed around relevant allergy seasons, with pollen levels and weather conditions monitored to support recruitment.

NASARIX is a proprietary nasal spray designed to form a protective barrier inside the nasal cavity, potentially preventing inhaled allergens from contacting the nasal mucosa.

The product is being developed as a non-drug approach for managing seasonal allergic rhinitis.

CEO Tomer Izraeli said the completion of the five-site network moves NASARIX from clinical preparation toward study execution, with the company now focused on patient readiness and enrollment.

The milestone advances Polyrizon's clinical development program as it seeks to generate efficacy, safety and tolerability data for NASARIX and progress the product toward potential U.S. commercialization.

PLRZ has traded between $2.88 and $18.20 over the past year. Currently, PLRZ is trading at $11.00, down 1.70%.
