Polaryx Appoints Charlton As CMO; PLX-200 Set For Phase 2 In Q4 '26

(RTTNews) - Polaryx Therapeutics Inc. (PLYX), a clinical-stage biotechnology company, on Tuesday reported the appointment of Dr. Will Charlton as Chief Medical Officer (CMO), effective from September 1, 2026.

His appointment follows the resignation of former CMO, Dr. Lisa Bollinger, on July 19, 2026.

Dr. Charlton is a board-certified pediatric endocrinologist specializing in rare diseases and pediatric drug development. Previously, he acted as Vice President of Clinical Development, Skeletal Dysplasia at Tyra Biosciences (TYRA), and prior to that served as CMO of Spruce Biosciences (SPRB).

Additionally, Charlton holds extensive experience as a senior medical director and in clinical development roles at biotech firms such as 89bio, Ascendis Pharma, and Allergan. He is also a board member of ReSurge International, a non-profit organization providing reconstructive surgical care to underserved areas.

The company plans to initiate the Phase 2 SOTERIA study for lead drug PLX-200 in CLN-2, CLN-3, Krabbe disease and Sandhoff disease in the fourth quarter of 2026.

PLYX is currently trading at $1.97, down 1.99%.
