In trading on Monday, semiconductors shares were relative laggards, down on the day by about 3.2%. Helping drag down the group were shares of AXTI, down about 16.4% and shares of Applied Optoelectronics off about 14.7% on the day.

Also lagging the market Monday are computer peripherals shares, down on the day by about 2.7% as a group, led down by Seagate Technology Holdings, trading lower by about 5.7% and Xerox Holdings, trading lower by about 5.7%.
