MetLife Authorized To Repurchase $3 Bln Of Stock

(RTTNews) - MetLife, Inc. (MET), an insurance and assets management service provider, said it has been authorized by the board to buy back $3 billion worth shares.

The new authorization is incremental to the approximately $400 million remaining under the company's prior authorization announced in April 2025.

Commenting on the latest share repurchase, MetLife President and CEO Michel Khalaf said, "This new share repurchase authorization reflects our confidence in MetLife's long-term outlook and continued ability to generate capital."

On the NYSE, the shares closed Wednesday's trading 0.14 percent higher at $96.26.
