Longeveron Appoints Jhaveri As CFO Ahead Of Phase 2b Data; Stock Up

(RTTNews) - Longeveron Inc. (LGVN), a clinical-stage biotech company focused on developing cellular therapies for rare paediatric and chronic age-related diseases, on Wednesday announced the appointment of Nirav Jhaveri as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

He succeeds Marie Washburn as CFO, following her retirement from the role. Washburn will continue to serve as the company's corporate controller. She has over 20 years of experience in financial roles across the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors. Jhaveri joins Longeveron with more than 25 years of experience in capital markets, corporate finance, business development, and investor relations, including over 15 years in the biotech sector. In his new role, he will serve as CFO, principal financial officer and principal accounting officer.

Prior to joining the company, Jhaveri served as CFO of Opus Genetics, Insilico Medicine, and Journey Medical Corporation.

Longeveron's CEO Steven Willard said the company expects topline results in September 2026 from its Phase 2b clinical trial evaluating laromestrocel as a potential treatment for hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS), a rare pediatric condition.

LGVN closed Wednesday at $0.822, up 4.46%. In the after-hours trade, stock is up 4.84% at $0.86.
