Integra Highlights 20 Years Of CUSA In Complex Liver Surgery
(RTTNews) - Integra LifeSciences Holdings Corp. (IART), a global medical technology company focused on neurosurgery and tissue reconstruction, will mark 20 years of CUSA technology within its portfolio at the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Clinical Congress 2026 in Washington, D.C.
The company will feature surgeon-led educational programming focused on liver surgery, including clinical presentations and discussions highlighting the CUSA Clarity Ultrasonic Surgical Aspirator System and MicroFrance laparoscopic surgical instruments.
The educational program will be part of the ACS Innovation Theater and will feature internationally recognized liver surgeons sharing clinical perspectives and experience in complex liver procedures.
Presenters will include Goro Honda, M.D., Ph.D., FACS, of Tokyo Women's Medical University, and Adnan Alseidi, M.D., M.Ed., M.B.A., FACS, professor of surgery at the University of California, San Francisco.
Liver surgery remains an important area of care for patients with complex hepatobiliary conditions, including liver tumors.
More than 800,000 people are diagnosed with liver cancer worldwide each year, highlighting the continued need for advances in surgical care and education.
The CUSA Clarity Ultrasonic Surgical Aspirator System is designed for surgical procedures where fragmentation, emulsification and aspiration of soft and hard tissue are desirable.
Its indicated uses include liver resection and transplant surgery, as well as neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, thoracic surgery and other procedures.
Integra will also showcase its MicroFrance laparoscopic manual surgical instruments, which are designed for use in laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures to cut, grasp, hold, remove or manipulate tissue and structures.
The company said the ACS Clinical Congress provides an opportunity to engage with the surgical community and exchange perspectives as Integra marks two decades of CUSA technology within its portfolio.
IART has traded between $8.70 and $20.49 over the past year. The stock closed Thursday's trading at $15.88, up 2.25%. In pre-market trading the stock is at $15.89, up 0.06%.
