Hikma Delivers Solid H1 2026 Performance, Reiterates Full-Year Outlook; Stock Up

(RTTNews) - Hikma Pharmaceuticals PLC (HIK.L) reported interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2026, showing steady revenue growth and improved profitability compared to the prior year.

First Half 2026 Results

Group revenue rose to $1,728 million, up 4% from $1,658 million in H1 2025. Reported operating profit increased sharply to $336 million, a 30% rise from $259 million, reflecting the absence of prior-year non-core legal settlement costs. Profit attributable to shareholders was $223 million, down 6% from $238 million, while cash flow from operating activities strengthened to $214 million, up 33% from $161 million. Basic earnings per share declined to 103 cents from 108 cents.

On a core basis, revenue reached $1,728 million, up 4% from $1,657 million. Core operating profit rose to $405 million, up 9% from $373 million, and core EBITDA climbed to $463 million, up 8% from $429 million. Core profit attributable to shareholders was $277 million, up 3% from $270 million, with core EPS improving to 128 cents from 122 cents.

Segment performance showed branded revenue at $502 million, up 15% year-on-year, with branded core operating profit rising 23% and margins at 32.5%. Injectables revenue was steady at $685 million, though core operating profit declined 8% with margins at 27.6%. Hikma Rx revenue was flat at $520 million, in line with H1 2025, but core operating profit rose 16% with margins at 20.6%.

The company declared an interim dividend of 38 cents per share, up 6% from 36 cents, and reported progress on its $250 million share buyback program, with $227 million completed by August 5, 2026. Net debt to core EBITDA stood at 1.9x, compared to 1.6x at year-end 2025.

Strategic Progress

Hikma increased R&D investment by 18%, submitted 48 products, and launched 43 new medicines in the first half. The company also signed ten partnerships in the MENA region and strengthened its U.S. commercial platform for injectables.

Outlook

Management reiterated full-year guidance, expecting group revenue growth of 2% to 4% in constant currency and core operating profit between $720 million and $770 million, compared with $741 million from FY2025.
