Endeavour To Resume Operations Of Terronera Mine, Mexico As Blockade Removed

(RTTNews) - Endeavour Silver Corp. (EDR.TO, EXK), a mining company, announced that it is resuming operations of its Terronera Mine in Mexico on Monday, as the blockade by members of the nearby Ejido community has been removed.

The mid-tier silver producer earlier had announced that operations at its Terronera mine in Jalisco, Mexico have been temporarily suspended since August 12 following the illegal blockade.

According to the firm, the blockade, which remained peaceful and orderly, was due to the Ejido community's concerns over road maintenance, assistance with medical services and communications, control and access to water supply and increased financial assistance.

Endeavour, with three operating mines in Mexico and Peru, said it continues to work with the Ejido community to support stable, long-term operations.

On the NYSE in the overnight activity, the shares were trading 1.69 percent higher at $10.80, after closing Friday's trading 3.19 percent down.
