In early trading on Wednesday, shares of Caterpillar topped the list of the day's best performing Dow Jones Industrial Average components, trading up 0.7%. Year to date, Caterpillar registers a 23.4% gain.
And the worst performing Dow component thus far on the day is Sherwin-Williams, trading down 1.6%. Sherwin-Williams is lower by about 2.6% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are McDonald's, trading down 1.3%, and Cisco Systems, trading up 0.6% on the day.
