In early trading on Monday, shares of Merck topped the list of the day's best performing Dow Jones Industrial Average components, trading up 3.1%. Year to date, Merck registers a 1.3% gain.
And the worst performing Dow component thus far on the day is Procter & Gamble, trading down 1.4%. Procter & Gamble is lower by about 11.2% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Honeywell International, trading down 1.0%, and Amazon.com, trading up 1.7% on the day.
