In early trading on Monday, shares of Amazon.com topped the list of the day's best performing Dow Jones Industrial Average components, trading up 4.9%. Year to date, Amazon.com registers a 16.8% gain.
And the worst performing Dow component thus far on the day is Merck, trading down 1.6%. Merck is lower by about 15.0% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Verizon Communications, trading down 1.6%, and NVIDIA, trading up 2.9% on the day.
