In early trading on Monday, shares of Merck topped the list of the day's best performing Dow Jones Industrial Average components, trading up 1.5%. Year to date, Merck has lost about 19.5% of its value.
And the worst performing Dow component thus far on the day is McDonald's, trading down 1.6%. McDonald's is showing a gain of 4.3% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Travelers Companies, trading down 1.6%, and NVIDIA, trading up 1.2% on the day.
