In early trading on Tuesday, shares of Verizon Communications topped the list of the day's best performing Dow Jones Industrial Average components, trading up 0.5%. Year to date, Verizon Communications registers a 23.4% gain.
And the worst performing Dow component thus far on the day is Caterpillar, trading down 3.5%. Caterpillar is showing a gain of 26.7% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Sherwin-Williams, trading down 3.4%, and International Business Machines, trading down 0.0% on the day.
