Corteva And Globachem Form Joint Venture To Develop New Crop Protection Solutions

(RTTNews) - Corteva, Inc. (CTVA), a company in seed and crop protection technology and Globachem N.V., a privately held Belgian company specializing in crop protection products, have entered into a definitive agreement to establish a 50/50 joint venture.

The new entity will focus on advancing late-pipeline to commercial-stage technologies, aiming to deliver differentiated crop protection solutions tailored to evolving farmer needs in Europe and the Americas.

The joint venture will operate independently, leveraging Corteva's discovery and development capabilities alongside Globachem's expertise in formulation and regulatory execution. Products developed under the JV may be commercialized by one or both parent companies through established channels, with launches expected in the early 2030s.

Corteva Senior Vice President Brook Cunningham stated that the collaboration strengthens Corteva's portfolio as it prepares to launch as a standalone crop protection company.

Globachem Co-founder Koen Quaghebeur added that the partnership represents a milestone in their long-standing relationship, emphasizing that collaboration is the fastest way to bring meaningful innovation to farmers.

This agreement builds on an existing multi-year partnership between the two companies and underscores their shared commitment to delivering sustainable, tailored solutions that address agronomic challenges and create long-term value for growers worldwide.

CTVA has traded between $60.53 and $90.97 over the past year. The stock closed Tuesday's trading at $85.90, down 2.23%.
