Corn Selling Extends to Start October

Corn futures are trading with contracts 4 to 5 cents lower so far on Thursday. The CmdtyView national average Cash Corn price is down 2 cents at $4.56 3/4. 

Export Sales data from this morning showed just 535,989 MT in corn sales for 2026/27, which edged in the 0.5-1.3 MMT range of estimates of the week of 9/24. That was the lowest of the 4 weeks in the new marketing year and less than half of the same week last year.

The quarterly Grain Stocks report from NASS showed September 1 stocks of corn at 2.095 billion bushels. That was well above the 1.551 bbu from last year, and 173 mbu higher vs. the WASDE estimate for 2025/26 US corn ending stocks and 184 mbu above estimates.

Dec 26 Corn is at $4.96 3/4, down 4 cents,

Nearby Cash is at $4.56 3/4, down 2 cents,

Mar 27 Corn is at $5.11 1/4, down 4 1/4 cents,

May 27 Corn is at $5.18 1/2, down 4 3/4 cents,
