Corn Bulls Gain Steam into the Close

Corn futures posted fractional to 2 ½ cent gains across the board on Tuesday, following the rest of the grains and a $4.09 gain in crude oil after a weaker morning session. The CmdtyView national average Cash Corn price was up 3 1/4 cents at $4.87. 

Early harvest progress may be slowed this next week, with 1 to 3 inches seen in parts of KS, NE and SD through IA and the rest of the Eastern Corn Belt Heavies totals are seen in MN, WI, and MO.

CONAB data was released this morning showing the 2025/26 corn crop in Brazil at 144 MMT, a 1.04 MMT increase from the previous number. An initial estimate for the 2026/27 corn crop was pegged at 148 MMT from CONAB, vs. the USDA at 139 MMT.

Dec 26 Corn  closed at $5.35 3/4, up 2 1/2 cents,

Nearby Cash  was $4.90 1/2, up 3 cents,

Mar 27 Corn  closed at $5.50 1/4, up 2 1/4 cents,

May 27 Corn  closed at $5.56 3/4, up 1 1/2 cents,
