AIM ImmunoTech Secures Broad U.S. Patent For Ampligen In Combination With Keytruda; Stock Up

(RTTNews) - AIM ImmunoTech Inc. (AIM) announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has granted a new patent covering the use of its investigational drug Ampligen in combination with pembrolizumab (Keytruda) for the treatment of cancer.

The patent extends protection through December 2039, reinforcing the company's intellectual property estate in oncology.

Ampligen is a selective Toll-like receptor 3 (TLR3) agonist and immuno-modulator that has been studies across multiple cancer types, including pancreatic, ovarian, colorectal, breast, lung and melanoma.

The newly issued patent specifically covers synergistic use with Keytruda, where the combination produces greater anti-cancer effects than either therapy alone. Claims extend to a wide range of cancers, with pancreatic cancer highlighted as a central focus of AIM's late-stage oncology strategy.

CEO Thomas Equels stated that the issuance marks another significant step in building a durable intellectual property estate around Ampligen's potential role in cancer immunotherapy. He emphasized that the patent strengthens both the scientific and strategic foundation supporting Ampligen's long-term oncology opportunity. AIM also holds complementary patents in the U.S., Europe, and Japan covering Ampligen in combination with PD-1 and PD-L1 checkpoint inhibitors.

This milestone expands AIM's oncology IP protection through 2039, supporting its focus on late-stage pancreatic cancer and other solid tumors.

AIM has traded between $0.19 and $2.89 over the past year. The stock closed Friday's trading at $0.25, up 3.36%. In pre-market trading the stock is at $0.37, up 42.92%
