AbbVie To Present Positive Phase 3 Etentamig Data At IMS 2026

(RTTNews) - AbbVie (ABBV) announced it will present full Phase 3 results for its Etentamig, its investigational CMA x CD3 bispecific T-cell engager at the 23rd International Myeloma Society (IMS) Annual Meeting in Glasgow from September 23-26, 2026.

The data come from the pivotal CERVINO study evaluating Etentamig in adults with triple-class exposed relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma.

Multiple myeloma remains an incurable blood cancer, with patients often cycling through multiple lines of therapy and facing resistance, disease heterogeneity, tolerability challenges. Bispecific T-cell engagers targeting BCMA have emerged as a key therapeutic class for heavily pretreated RRMM.

Phase 3 CERVINO Results

A plenary presentation will feature full Phase 3 CERVINO data showing that Etentamig met both dual primary endpoints— objective response rate (ORR) and progression-free survival (PFS)— with statistically significant and clinically meaningful improvements versus standard available therapies. The results reinforce Etentamig's potential as a next-generation BCMA-directed therapy for patients with limited options.

Broader Myeloma Pipeline

AbbVie will also present data across its expanding multiple myeloma portfolio, including:

-ABBV-2001 (ISB 2001), a CD38 x BCMA x CD3 trispecific T-cell engager

-Surzetoclax, a BCL-2 inhibitor being evaluated in combination approaches.

Additional presentations will explore treatment sequencing, infection-related healthcare utilization, real-world outcomes, and mechanisms of resistance, reflecting AbbVie's strategy to build a differentiated portfolio across complementary modalities.

Company Commentary

Daejin Abidoye, M.D., vice president and therapeutic area head of oncology and hematology, said the company's presence at IMS highlights the "depth and momentum" of AbbVie's multiple myeloma strategy, aimed at delivering more precise, durable, and accessible treatment options for patients facing evolving disease challenges.

ABBV has traded between $190.75 and $267.47 over the past year. The stock closed Wednesday's trading at $262.51, down 0.20%. In pre-market trading the stock is at $268.31, up 0.27%.
