Before he came to Nasdaq, Jameel served as Chief of Staff for U.S. Congressman Gregory W. Meeks (NY) who is a member of the House Financial Services Committee and the Foreign Affairs Committee. The Financial Services Committee has jurisdiction over the capital markets. He is also the former President of the House of Representatives Chiefs of Staff Association. Jameel is the former Executive Director of the Rockaway Development and Revitalization Corporation, a non-profit community development organization, as well as having been a staffer to former Congressman Floyd H. Flake (NY). He holds an MBA in International Finance from St. John’s University and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia.
