Elina came to Nasdaq from Finansinspektionen, the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority. In this capacity she worked on issues affecting the securities markets, investment firms and banking. She served as Coordinator for Securities Market issues and Acting Head of the Securities, Exchange and Clearing Unit, which included representing the Swedish FSA in Expert Groups of the Committee of European Securities Regulators and in other international regulatory cooperations. She also served a temporary assignment to the Ministry of Finance and was an Expert for the Swedish Takeover Committee. Prior to her service for the Swedish FSA, she was a attorney for Backman & Åström Law Firm AB and Law Firm Hybbinette & Partners KB working on business law, contract law, IT/IP law and litigation. She has also served at District and Appeals Courts in Sweden. She holds a Master of Laws Degree and degree in Business Administration from Stockholm University. She speaks four languages. Elina is also engaged as a lecturer in educational conferences and represents Nasdaq in the Swedish Financial Market Committee Subgroup on International Regulatory Affairs.
