Angie Ruan
Executive Vice President & Chief Technology Officer, Nasdaq Capital Access Platforms
Angie Ruan serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Nasdaq’s Capital Access Platforms division. She leads the division’s technology strategy and engineering, including Listings, Index, Data, Analytics, Investor Relations, and Governance Solutions. Angie is responsible for advancing innovation, platform modernization, and the adoption of AI-driven capabilities to power scalable, mission-critical solutions.
Angie brings a distinguished track record of leading large-scale technology transformation and building high-performing engineering organizations. She rejoined Nasdaq after serving as Head of Product Engineering at Chime and previously held the role of Senior Vice President of Global Technology at Nasdaq, where she led key initiatives across Market Technology and cloud strategy.
Prior to returning to Nasdaq, Angie served as Unit CIO for American Express U.S. Consumer and Small Business. Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles at PayPal and eBay, driving impactful innovation and business growth through technology.
Angie is widely recognized for her leadership and contributions to the industry. She was inducted into the Women in Technology International (WITI) Hall of Fame in 2021 and named one of Silicon Valley’s Women of Influence. She holds four technical patents, reflecting her commitment to innovation and applied engineering excellence.
Angie earned a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and studied Computer Science at Tsinghua University.
